Moxxor's Grape Seed Extract
Moxxor's Grape Seed Extract has measured more than eight times greater antioxidant levels than an equivalent amount of Vitamin C.
The antioxidant found in Moxxor comes from the New Zealand's award winning Sauvignon Blanc grapes, from the center of New Zealand where the unique atmospheric conditions cause the seed to have greater levels of super antioxidant OPC (oligomeric procyanidin compounds) than any known fruit or berry, and are free from genetically modified material, heavy metals, arsenic and pesticides.
The way that the grapes are grown and the cleanliness and purity of the environment in which they are grown means that the grapes produce very high levels of natural antioxidants. In fact, New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc grape seeds contain some of the highest levels of grape seed antioxidants in the world, amounting to between 9 and 12% of the dry weight of the seed.
What is Grape Seed Extract?
Grape seed extract is shown to contain a range of healthy components, and interest has peaked on health benefits attributed to antioxidants found in grapes. Most of the antioxidants in grapes are found in the seeds and are concentrated on the seed husk. The components of the grape seed husk, including the antioxidants, can be extracted, concentrated and dried to a powder. The resulting products is commonly referred to as grape seed extract.
How is Moxxor's Grape Seed Extract Produced?
MOXXOR's grape seed extract is produced by extracting the seeds using an all-natural pure water extraction process, concentrating the antioxidant compounds and then freeze-drying the product to a powder form. This process is 100% natural and uses no chemicals or artificial additives.
The combination of a natural process and careful preservation of the resulting extract maximizes the antioxidant activity.
The grape seed extract is unique in that it is produced using only water to extract the antioxidants - no harsh chemicals or solvents are used at any stage in the production process. This is in contrast to grape seed extract produced by other sources, who typically extract the seeds in potentially harmful solvents such as ethanol or acetone, chemically concentrating the antioxidant compounds, and then spray drying. These steps decrease the activity of the antioxidant compounds in the extract, and solvent and chemical residues are likely to remain in the finished product.
Grapes grown in Marlborough, New Zealand, particularly the Sauvignon Blanc variety, produce world class, award-winning wines. Most of theses grapes are grown under a Sustainable Viticulture Program that ensures the long term viability of the wine industry with minimal impact on the environment. This program ensures the traceability of the grapes from the vineyard through the wine making process, a minimum of agrichemical use during growing, and the guarantee that no spray residue is present on the grapes prior to harvest. It is from these seeds that Oxifend® Vinanza is produced.
